Decibelics The Reverend Overdrive Pedal, Used
The Decibelics The Reverend is a boutique guitar effects pedal handcrafted in Barcelona, Spain, that acts as a faithful, upgraded recreation of the vintage Bixonic Expandora.
Key Features & Versions
The Reverend (V1 / V2): A compact mini-format pedal (95mm x 49mm) replicating all classic Expandora circuits (EXP-2000).
Four Gain Modes:
- Crunch (I): Organic boost with amp-like breakup.
- Overdrive (II): Dynamic, mid-forward drive.
- Distortion (III): Searing, saturated harmonic sound.
- Forbidden Setting (F): A brutal, gated fuzz with explosive, broken-speaker character.
Internal & External Controls: Features clipping dip switches (Silicon vs. LED/Germanium), a bass boost switch, and an intelligent soft-touch bypass switch with auto-momentary/latching functions. An external mini remote switch can also toggle the "Forbidden Fuzz" on the fly.
Authentic Components: Built with New Old Stock (N.O.S.) components like the RN2206 transistor and JRC4558DD op-amp, alongside OP07 chips and H11F1 optocouplers.
