Gibson FDH (Francis, Day & Hunter) Archtop Guitar (Circa 1939), with Hard Case Included.

An exceptionally rare Gibson FDH Special archtop from 1939—one of only approximately 123 ever manufactured for the British market. Built exclusively for Francis, Day and Hunter, the legendary London-based music publisher and Tin Pan Alley distributor, this guitar represents a unique chapter in Gibson's international production history. Hand-carved archtop construction delivers the warm, projective tone prized by jazz and classical players of the era. The FDH designation marks this as a premium custom model, distinguishing it from standard Gibson production. With fewer than 123 examples produced and even fewer surviving today, this 1939 model stands as a significant collector's piece and functional vintage instrument. Hard case included. A rare opportunity to own a piece of British music history and Gibson's international legacy.
