Body & Construction
Body Material: Contoured laminate or heavy ash/plywood depending on the specific year and finish. Features a comfortable belly carve.
Finish: Various finishes including Sunburst (often with a maple veneer) and solid colors like black.
Headstock: Evolved during the early '80s—starting with traditional styles, shifting to the distinctive "Eagle Beak" design in 1981–1984, and later color-matched variations with the Sunrise or Fame logos.

Neck & Fretboard
Neck Material: Bolt-on maple neck, often featuring a chunky "D" shape profile.
Fretboard: Maple with dot position markers.
Scale Length: 25.5 inches.
Frets: 21 frets.
Truss Rod: Heel-adjusted style introduced in late 1982, with a rosewood "skunk stripe" added on mid-80s revisions.
