MXR Talk Box Pedal, Used
The MXR M222 Talk Box is a classic effects pedal that lets you shape the sound of an instrument (like a guitar or keyboard) using your mouth to create iconic "talking" vocal effects.
How It Works
- Internal Amp and Speaker: Unlike vintage talk boxes that require patching directly from an amplifier's speaker output, the MXR M222 features its own built-in amp and speaker driver.
- The Tube: A clear surgical-grade plastic tube (8 feet long) connects to the top of the pedal.
- Mouth Shaping: The guitar signal travels through the tube into the performer's mouth. By moving your lips and mouth cavity (without using your vocal cords), you articulate the guitar tones.
Key Features & Controls
- Controls: Features knobs for Volume, Tone, and Gain to sculpt your voice effect.
- Built-in Distortion III: The onboard gain circuit can add grit and overdrive when turned up
